A Ballwin police officer is about to take a break from the streets and step into the spotlight on national TV.

Officer Rachael Stark, a reserve officer with the Ballwin Police Department, will appear on Wheel of Fortune on Feb. 18. The department shared the news on social media, saying Stark “swapped the patrol car for the puzzle board” to compete on the long-running game show.

Ballwin police said they’re proud, and maybe a little jealous, to see Stark representing the community on such a big stage, and they’re encouraging residents to tune in at 6:30 p.m. and cheer her on.

Wheel of Fortune, which premiered in 1975, is one of the longest-running game shows in the country. Contestants spin the wheel and solve word puzzles for cash prizes, with the chance of landing on “Bankrupt” and losing their earnings.
