Two of the most iconic players in St. Louis Cardinals history are one step closer to another honor. Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina were announced Wednesday as nominees for the 2026 Cardinals Hall of Fame, joining former outfielders George Hendrick and Brian Jordan on this year’s ballot.
Pujols and Molina retired after the 2022 season and were key pieces of the Cardinals’ World Series championships in 2006 and 2011. Pujols, a three-time National League MVP, ranks near the top of nearly every franchise offensive category and finished his career with more than 700 home runs. Molina spent all 19 of his seasons in St. Louis, earning 10 All-Star selections and nine Gold Gloves while becoming one of the most respected catchers in baseball.
Hendrick helped power the Cardinals to a World Series title in 1982, while Jordan was a standout outfielder in the 1990s and played a major role in the team’s return to the postseason in 1996.
Fans can vote for the 2026 Hall of Fame class through April 17, with the final inductees announced in May. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 12 at Ballpark Village. Learn more here.
