Trackstar The DJ & Daemon - Red Pill 84

Trackstar The DJ is the tour DJ for the hip-hop duo Run The Jewels. He started out on college radio in St. Louis and has a huge catalog of mixtapes. Daemon is a St. Louis-based rapper and the song "Red Pill 84" is a super intense, political track. The lyrics are pretty bleak and are all about how messed up the world is, with lines about wildfires, billionaires, and people being "brain dead like the radio." It's a real wake-up call of a song, kinda saying everything is going wrong but what can you do? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Stir - Climbing The Walls

Stir was a rock band from St. Louis that formed in the mid-'90s. They had a few hits on alternative radio back in the day, and "Climbing The Walls" was one of their most popular. The song's title is an idiom for being really anxious or upset, and the lyrics kinda play on that. They talk about a person who gets tired of their old routine ("pacing the floor") and finds a new, more meaningful "job" in life: "climbing the walls." Some people think the song is about mental health struggles or even drug addiction, but it's really up for interpretation. The song is a sad but hopeful look at moving forward.

The STL Boogaloo Crew - No No No

The STL Boogaloo Crew is a St. Louis-based band that brings together musicians from different backgrounds and communities to create Latin soul music. They're all about blending American soul with traditional Latin styles. Their song "No No No" is a cover of a classic Latin funk tune. It's a high-energy track with a killer beat that's perfect for dancing. The original song was released by Boogaloo Assassins. It's all about that groovy, old-school sound.

Bailey Zimmerman ft Luke Combs - Back Up Plan

Bailey Zimmerman is a newer country artist who blew up on TikTok. He's known for his raw, gritty voice and emotionally charged songs. Luke Combs is a superstar in country music, famous for his down-to-earth lyrics and powerful vocals. The two teamed up for this song, which is a big anthem about not giving up on your dreams. The lyrics are pretty simple but hit hard: "Getting back up, that's the only backup plan you need." It's a message to keep going no matter what, and the song has become a huge hit. It's even the theme song for college football on ABC! 🏈

Pernikoff Brothers - (Your Love) Keeps Liftin’ Me Higher

The Pernikoff Brothers are a folk-rock trio from St. Louis. They're brothers who grew up listening to Motown and the Beatles, which you can hear in their music. They recorded their album at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London! "Your Love Keeps Liftin' Me Higher" is a cover of the classic Jackie Wilson song from 1967. The Pernikoff Brothers take this iconic soul hit and give it their own folk-rock twist, bringing their unique harmonies to a timeless tune.
