⚾ McGreevy, Walker Lead Cardinals Over Cubs 5–0: Michael McGreevy pitched six scoreless innings and Jordan Walker homered for the first time since May as the Cardinals shut out the Cubs Friday night. St. Louis’ bullpen combined for three perfect innings to seal the win.
🔪 St. Louis Man Charged in Stepfather’s Fatal Stabbing: James Minor, 46, was arrested in Minnesota and charged with second-degree murder after police say he fatally stabbed his 73-year-old stepfather, Steven Brown, inside a north St. Louis home Thursday.
🚚 Cement Truck Overturns, Killing Driver on I-55 in Jefferson County: A cement truck rolled over and struck the center barrier Saturday morning near Festus, shutting down southbound lanes of I-55 as investigators worked to determine the cause of the crash.
🚁 More Info on Helicopter Crash into Barge on Mississippi River: A Hughes 369D helicopter struck transmission lines and crashed into a barge near Alton, Ill., Thursday morning, killing a contractor and subcontractor working on power line safety markers. The NTSB is leading the investigation, with a preliminary report expected within 30 days.
