🌪️ Two More FEMA Centers Open in North STL: Two additional Disaster Recovery Centers will open in North St. Louis—one at Sumner High School (June 26) and another at the Urban League Women’s Business Center (June 30)—offering daily aid for tornado victims, including help with applications and document uploads.
🎤 Adam Sandler Bringing Tour to STL: Comedy icon Adam Sandler will perform at Enterprise Center on Oct. 17 as part of his “You’re My Best Friend” tour. Tickets go on sale June 27, just weeks before Happy Gilmore 2 hits Netflix.
🔥 Salt + Smoke Expands to Illinois: STL favorite Salt + Smoke is opening its first Illinois location in Edwardsville by late 2025 inside the revamped Station on Main development. It marks the barbecue brand’s eighth location.
🐾 Metro East Shelter Seeks Help After A/C Fails: Gateway Pet Guardians in East St. Louis is asking for donations, fosters, and adoptions after its A/C failed during a heat wave. Adoption fees are waived for adult cats and medium-to-large dogs.

Billy Davis Jr. (1938): a singer and musician, best known as a member of the 5th Dimension.
Griffith R. Harsh (1953): an American neurosurgeon, and chair of neurosurgery at the University of New Mexico.
Bob Guelker (1923): a soccer coach and administrator. He coached 24 years at the collegiate level, including coaching St. Louis University to five championships. He coached the U.S. teams at both the 1971 Pan American Games and the 1972 Summer Olympics.
