🌫️ Air Quality Alert for STL: St. Louis and surrounding counties are under an orange-level air quality alert Tuesday (June 17) from 10 AM to 8 PM due to elevated ozone levels. Vulnerable groups should limit outdoor activity.
🌭 Joey Chestnut Returns to Coney Island: Joey Chestnut is back for the Nathan’s Famous July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest after missing last year’s event due to a sponsorship dispute. The reigning champ says he’s ready to reclaim his Coney Island crown.
🌮 Session Taco Reopens in the CWE: Session Taco (formerly Mission Taco) has officially reopened in the Central West End after nearly three years, following the 2022 fire on Euclid Ave. Its comeback marks a big step in the area's revitalization.
🍦 Yapi Scoops Opens Near SLU
Yapi Mediterranean Subs expands with a new halal ice cream shop next door. Yapi Scoops offers house-made cones, creative sundaes, and fully halal toppings—catering especially to Muslim students from nearby campuses. Grand opening is Tuesday at 4 p.m. with $5 baklava and a scoop.
